This excellent series just keeps getting better. If you like a fast paced adventure you will love these books. Well written with excellent world building and great characters, what more could you ask for.This one continues our hero's efforts to bring the four countries together to fight the common enemy. Can long time enemies work together for the common good and can he gather enough strength form the elementals to overcome the powerful head of the foreign invaders. All will be reveled.
This seems like the end of the saga when you get to the end of this book but it is not so. Not sure where the author can take it from here but he will need new enemies and elementals to fight.

nice story
Another good addition to the series, a bit of a quick and neat wrap up to the big conflict and had yet another enemy in line yet again. Would be nice to see a bit more complexity and growth but nonetheless a fun read.
I have enjoyed this series so much so, that I am eagerly awaiting the next adventure into the realm of the The Cloud Warrior. Full of fantasy and vivid and exciting characters that truly involved you in how and why they quested. A series for all ages, and all genres.
This is the best book of the series! Filled with difficult decisions and action. It's a story of keeping one's faith and doing the right thing instead of listening to others who doubt. Choosing to be a better person, choosing to not allow evil to take over, choosing good rather than bad.
I read all 7 books to the original storyline. Well developed characters with a surprise in almost every chapter. A whole new and fantastic world to explore. I found my self trying to make a map of all the different places and kingdoms the story developed. Ending caught me totally by surprise.
You can not predict what is going to happen in the next chapter or book. Keeps the suspense up with a detail developed plot and world.
This is an epic adventure against all odds. Combining all of their wit and strength, man, beasts, spirit, wind, earth and fire stand against an all powerful despot, bent on controlling everyone and everything. Deepening friendships and unlikely alliances enable a final victory but not without tearful costs. I mourned the ending of this series in leaving these young heroes behind. They became fantastically real as each successive book bound them all together. Compelling story and memorable characters worth revisiting and sharing.
Would love to give this book 5 stars but I just can't. Book 6 did a really good job of getting me interested in the series again. Spoiler, The death of one Tans bonded elementals was extremely underwhelming, after hearing about how painful it is and it can destroy a person Tan simply wakes up and realises his Elemental is dead as merely and afterthought. Also, the last 2 major fights Tan are a big let down lacking any real substance to the fight. The author could have gone into much more detail and depicting the fight scenes than he had.
Over it was good book and look forward to book 8.
